NIHR10.5

The research arm of the NHS, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) celebrated 10 ground-breaking years in May this year.

We provided not just the theme, but all the design elements, for a conference and exhibition at the QEII Centre in Westminster.

The theme was based on a grid system and was applied to the printed folders, programmes and summaries, set design, video wall welcome area and all the signage.

A ‘timeline wall’ highlighted the achievements of the first ten years – a lot of detail there in a 7m long stretch of wall!

The grid theme was also applied to a 5m long ‘future wall’ with five different videos highlighting the key areas that the NIHR will address next.

Within the common areas we designed four separately themed zones each featuring a colour coded stand, individually designed with images and PPT templated presentations.

Overall, the set and designs were designed so that they could be assembled in the space of one night and then broken down in a few hours after the event – some very careful planning went into all this so the operation could run smoothly!

The event was considered a huge success by the NIHR and was well received in the NHS and Government.
